Jessica Gispert (*1984) is a visual artist from Miami, FL. Her work interconnects themes of identity, spirituality and corporeality. Gispert uses transformative materials to investigate subcultural practices in the digital era related to ethnography, alchemy and religion. Her recent book, UNSEEN, explores her relationship to spirituality as a silent part of her Cuban identity. The book presents new photographic work inspired by the intimate spaces used to honor ancestors and deities in Latin-American households.
